Everyone knows the wisdom in being patient. However, patience can be trying; it can be boring. Boredom is why we throw in the towel on standards and goals and even do stupid things in misguided attempts to break the monotony.
To combat the pernicious affects of boredom on the power of patience, I have resolved to become Passionate about Patience. For me, it is not enough to rely on the rationality of patience. I must fall madly in love with patience.
I must be attuned to patience wherever I go and in all of my interactions. The beauty of patience and the folly of impatience are all around me. When boredom attacks and quick “fixes” come knocking, I must overpower their advances with a Passion for Patience and the concomitant protections and blessings that only patience can provide.
With Love,
