I’ve listened to every Berkshire Hathaway annual shareholders’ meeting since 1994. Other than the 2020 meeting during the pandemic, this is the first one without Charlie Munger. The 2024 meeting began with an excellent tribute to Charlie. Warren Buffett is the more famous of the two men, but he is the first to tell you of Charlie’s importance to Berkshire’s success. As Warren puts it, Charlie was the architect, and Warren was the contractor. Whatever the case, they were quite the team, and they built an amazing company that will stand the test of time. I highly recommend watching the tribute and listening to the rest of the meeting as Warren holds court and answers myriad questions on business and life.
